Melanie
Played by Emily Jeffers
MELANIE is a stubborn and independent young woman. In the course of her life, when dealing with situations she tends to be self-destructive and alienates herself. Presently, she is battling PTSD after witnessing an emotionally disturbing car crash in her line of work as a Paramedic. Though she has witnessed a lot in the time of her career, this instance is the first in which has impacted her so severely and finds it a great challenge to open up to the ones she loves and the medics who work alongside her.
Becca
Played by Taylor Levy
BECCA is Melanie's younger sister and wants more than anything to be there as a support for her. She really does not have much experience with mental illness such as PTSD and finds it very difficult to start a dialogue with Melanie about her challenges with PTSD. Although this is a challenge for Becca, she always provides a listening ear for Melanie and would never judge her.
Evan
Played by Ralph Perl
EVAN is an older Paramedic and has seen a lot in his years on the job. As Melanie's partner at work, he struggles to empathize with her personal journey with PTSD. Although he has seen a lot in his time, he has not allowed it to impact him in such a way. He lives by the ideology of "it's better to move on than to be stuck on something for too long". When he expresses these values to Melanie, it can come across as harsh. However, his intentions are not to invalidate Melanie's experience with PTSD, he just doesn't know any different from what he is used to.
The Jogger
Played by Sierra Small
After stumbling upon an injured man in the forest, this shellshocked venturer calls 911.
